  • Each surface plays at various speeds and bounce and there are a range of products to suit all levels of the game.

  • Recent resurfacing of international standard indoor cricket nets at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Australia using the Beige Natural Cricket Wicket product.
  • Grassman cricket products are known for their hard wearing capabilities.

Indoor Cricket

Indoor cricket is played on a rectangular, synthetic grass court. The court is enclosed in cricket nets, including a 4 metre high ‘ceiling’. The cricket pitch and wickets are the same dimensions as a normal cricket turf.

Cricket is by far the toughest test of any synthetic grass surface. Most of the play is concentrated over a very small area of the total surface and our products development has successfully achieved products that stand the test of time.

Our supplier; Grassman produces a proprietary Gum Tree Green® which looks natural and is manufactured with the highest UV stabilization available, the denser colourants reduce glare permanently. Check out our other sports products including Tennis, Golf, Hockey, Football and Schools

Q & A with Ben Horne, after GameOn installed his clubs cricket pitch
1/ How is the pace of the turf playing from facing both pace bowler’s and spin bowler’s deliveries?
The turf is keeping its pace from both seamers and spinners, there is plenty of bounce and carry for bowlers who bowl into the wicket and hit the deck
2/ When facing new balls on the surface does it play realistically to outdoor pitches?
Yes, there is no excessive seam movement, spin or unrealistic bounce, it plays true but there is enough in it for the bowlers if they put enough on the ball.
3/ Does the surface currently take much turn? Is it realistic to outside?
It takes turn, but nothing excessive or unrealistic. Again, if you put a decent amount of revs on the ball you will get some purchase out of it.
4/ Does the beige turf help with picking the ball up better off the pitch?
Absolutely, it is highly realistic to a turf wicket with the combination colours in there, it’s absolutely ideal to train in when there is no access to grass wickets for training.
5/ What is the general feedback overall from the players at the Parnell Cricket Club?
The feedback is hugely positive, I’ve heard nothing but good things from the boys and everyone is really enjoying the new facility.
